To provide logistics and shipment tracking services, we collect the following categories of information:
- Account Information: Your username, tenant association, and driver credentials provided by your operator.
- Device Information: Device model, operating system version, and unique device identifiers to send push notifications.
2. Location Data Tracking (Critical)
🚨 Background Location Disclosure:
UrusKargo collects precise location data (GPS) to enable shipment journey tracking, route progression, and delivery verification for dispatchers. This location data is collected in the background (even when the app is closed, minimized, or not in use), starting from the moment you accept a shipment until it is successfully delivered.
We use this background location data solely to update the logistics control tower about shipment transit status. This data is not shared with third-party advertisers or marketing networks.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected data for the following purposes:
- To execute shipments and assign delivery routes.
- To provide real-time location tracking of cargo to the operators and tenants.
- To verify deliveries and support Proof of Delivery (POD) uploads.
- To send shipment notifications and status updates via push notifications.
4. Data Sharing and Retention
Your data is hosted securely in our database and is only accessible by the registered operators of your logistics organization (tenant). We do not share, sell, or rent your personal information to third parties.
We retain your location history only as long as necessary to complete and verify shipment execution and comply with operational audit logs.
5. Security
We implement standard industry security practices, including HTTPS encryption for all API calls and secure JWT tokens for authorization, to protect your credentials and location streams.
